Our educational structure is located in the disadvantaged district of Nagwa. We actually welcome 41 children, from 6 to 14 years old, on social criteria and without discrimination of gender. Our targeted public is poor families very often stemming from the immigration of surrounding countrysides, where the father is a day labourer and the mother takes care of the hom. We also have single-parent family units, due to premature death of one of the parents or family abandonment. It is a very unstable public, who easily move out for his survival. The children were little or not at all schooled due to the lack of financial means and due to the non-implication of their parents, themselves illiterates.

For pragmatic reasons (lack of room), we school the children in our own structure only during the first three years of the primary. Then they integrate the public school in class IV till the end of the secondary cycle.

During the first three years, we supply an enormous field work with the parents about punctuality and diligence of their children to school. Besides the family events and the religious festivals, problems due to the social background make the situation even harder, as household chores for the girls and addiction in money games for the boys. During these first three years, we can also judge the stability of the family and the implication of the parents in the education of their children.

In class IV, the children are schooled in two non-coeducational public schools : the girls are at Durga Charan Girls Inter College and the boys at Bengali Tola Inter College School. We continue our community work with families and children. The latter have lunch in our structure and we dispense two hours of coaching class a day, from Monday to Friday. We make sure that no child is in trouble school.

That the children are schooled in our stucture or in a public school, we take all the expenses at our expense : admission fees and school fees, stationeries and uniforms, coaching class, lunch and medical follow-up. Our educational project is financed by profits generated by our charity shop.
